A $52-per-year targeted rate to fund new paths and crossings in Franklin has been widely supported by the local community. Of the 1,149 Franklin submissions received during public consultation, 71% were in favour.
The rate — now under final review by Auckland Council’s Governing Body — would raise $20 million over 10 years to support an estimated $31.6 million programme.
The Board says strong community feedback and a willingness to support local delivery are key drivers behind the initiative.
