Ararimu Village Path
Project:
Path
Location:
Ararimu Village Path
What’s Happening
- A roughly 1.5 kilometre path is planned along Ararimu Road to improve access to Ararimu Village area.
- The project has now progressed into the scheme and detailed design stage, which includes assessing design requirements such as pedestrian bridges and confirming how the path can be safely delivered.
Work Completed So Far
- Surveying compleed to confirm accurate levels and understand site constraints
- Scheme design and early concept work developed to explore feasible options
- Liaison with local landowners to understand access needs, constraints, and property impacts
- Initial engagement with the community and stakeholders to help shape the design
Why It Matters
- This part of Ararimu Road does not have a path – this means that local residents are unable to easily access Ararimu Village without a car.
- This path will allow local residents to walk or cycle to the school and community hall in Ararimu Village.
